    David Barry Size Guide

How do I know which size to buy?

We know that it’s quite a challenge these days to find accurate labelling for sizes in many stores. A size 10 in one shop can be identical to a size 14 in another.

The important thing is that the garment fits, no matter what it says on the label (we won’t tell if you won’t!). Of course, everybody is unique, so when it comes to ‘ready-to-wear’ garments, there’s always a slight compromise!

However, in supplying ladies outerwear to major High Street brands for many years, we have a reputation for comfortable, quality coats that fit in all the right places!

    Buying online offers distinct advantages:

    • We don’t have the overhead of operating multiple retail shop units, so we can pass savings on to you with a range of stylish yet affordable outerwear.
    • We know that many of our loyal customers are busy during traditional working hours and so don’t always have the opportunity to go shopping for a new coat, browsing rails, spending time in changing rooms and queuing up at tills.
    • Shop at your leisure 24/7 every day of the year.

For reference, our main model shown in images is 5′ 10″ tall and all models wears size UK10.

If you always wear the same size you should not buy a different size unless you are not in proportion or are in-between sizes then you should always buy the bigger size.

Please note garment measurements will always be bigger than actual body measurements. Garments may vary in size specification depending on the style and ease allowance but will still fit the body size indicated.

Winter coat and jacket styles are often quite roomy to allow for warm winter layers.

International standard women’s clothing sizes do vary and are only to be used as a guideline if you are unsure of the size you usually wear.

The Golden Rule is to always buy the size you usually wear!
